New independent music, worth your time
Pixanami Indie Music Blog is a home for music without a marketing budget. We find independent artists (bedroom producers, basement-show bands, local scenes and self-released records) and write about what makes them worth hearing. Everything we feature is made by people.
Every artist spotlight is researched, edited and approved by a person, and written to get you to the music, with links to where you can listen and support the artist directly. Alongside music, we cover the art and culture that grows up around independent scenes.

Questions
What is Pixanami Indie Music Blog?
An online music blog that spotlights independent artists. We write about new music, local scenes, and the art and culture around them, with links so you can listen and support artists directly.
How do I get my music featured?
Use the submission form. All we need is a link to the song, your artist name and the song title. We can't reply to everyone, but every submission gets a listen. We only feature music made by people.
What counts as "independent"?
Artists who release music themselves or through small labels, without major-label backing. Genre doesn't matter: indie rock, hip-hop, electronic, folk, experimental and everything in between.
Do you feature AI-generated music?
No. We only feature music made by people. Artists use all kinds of tools, and that's fine, AI-assisted mixing or mastering included, but we don't write about songs that are fully AI-generated. If you're submitting, we kindly ask that you send only human-made music.
How do you choose who to write about?
We dig through new releases, local show listings, small labels, community radio and artist submissions, and write about the music that stands out to us.
